The Most Important Thing When it Comes to Decorating Your Home
Do you ever start a home decor project for a room and then get overwhelmed with all the little details, end up buying a bunch of random things on a whim, think you love one thing but then change your mind and change it again, and then get so lost that you kind of give up and the room just sort of stays unfinished indefinitely?
I mean, the whole, “work in progress” vibe is totally a style I have respect for. I am literally a walking work in progress, I honestly feel like we all are.
For this post though, I wanted to focus on something I think is the most important thing you need when you’re decorating your space.
Vision
Have an idea of what it is you want your space to feel like.
Without a vision, I usually end up with a hodge-podge of randomness that looks and feels chaotic. This is why mood boards are so great. Your vision gives you a map to look at when you get lost and a reference to look at when you can’t remember why you started in the first place. To come up with a vision, I loooove to hang out on Pinterest. Just be careful getting lost in all the amazing ideas that exist on the internet. ;)
